Friday 13 th March. We took the decision to close.
We watched the news. We watched in horror.
We admired and clapped the front line. We stressed. We tossed and turned. We ate, we drank. We grew the bellies then we flattened them again.
We did Joe Wicks. We did homeschooling, we’ve baked, run on treadmills and cycled in the garage. We’ve cleaned said garage. We’ve gardened, painted, power washed and seeded. We grew the hair then sourced the clippers.
We online consulted. We zoomed, whatsapped and FaceTimed. We read our journals and did webinars. We sent out the rehab plans. We stretched and strengthened and sat down again.
We scrutinised the science. We applauded Holohan and despaired with Trump.
We’ve bought the PPE. We’ve strategised and adjusted. We won’t be complacent.
Thanks for staying at home. Thanks for waiting.
The hands are rested. We’re nearly there.
See you soon.
